TWELVE FOOT NINJA, JERICCO & CIRCLES JOIN FORCES FOR ‘SWARM TOUR’
Melbourne’s progressive heavy music scene is in fine form in 2012 and how better
to celebrate than to combine the force of three of its finest on an impressive
triple bill. This March, longstanding genre leaders Twelve Foot Ninja and Jericco
will be joined by newcomers, Circles on the national ‘Swarm Tour’.
Twelve Foot Ninja suspected their live performance was sufficiently honed when
they were invited to support international acts Periphery (US) and Tesseract (UK)
last year, and prompted Periphery founder /guitarist Misha Mansoor to tweet
jubilantly “Twelve Foot Ninja are basically one of the best live bands I have
ever seen in my life. Holy f*** they are tight”. As they put the finishing
touches on their debut album, due mid-2012, you can just sense that something big
is on its way. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of Australia feels the
full force of what Twelve Foot Ninja are bringing to the game.
Meanwhile, after three years together, 137 blistering live shows, 8 festival
appearances and a stack of sold-out headlining gigs, alternative rock maestros
Jericco are gearing up to offer their adoring fan base a taste of things to
come. With two successful EPs and one live album up their sleeve, the
five-piece will release the second single - The Art Of Illusion - from their
forthcoming debut album on March 1st 2012, just in time to coincide with ‘Swarm
Tour’’s commencement.
Finally, relative newcomers Circles, will lend their unique take on progressive
metal to the ‘Swarm Tour’ bill. Momentum came quickly for the 5-piece, when they
caught the attention of UK’s Basick Records (home to Monuments & Aliases) who
promptly signed the band and released their debut EP The Compass in 2011 to
critical acclaim.
Don’t miss this phenomenal bill of Melbourne’s finest as it rolls into your town
this March.

2011 has been an absolutely fantastic year for Melbourne based CIRCLES and to round it off in style the band has released one final announcement. During the first few months of 2012 the band will be taking their unique brand of progressive metal to the road, in a string of dates across their native homeland of Australia, the first of many tours for the band next year.
Since their critically acclaimed debut EP was released in May this year via UK based
label Basick Records, CIRCLES have been hard at work building their profile worldwide. CIRCLES drummer Dave Hunter commented: “This year has been so fantastic for us,
we’ve spent 2011 putting a lot of the groundwork in and now we can’t wait to be out
on the road again. It’s so much fun to see those fresh faces in the front row
singing their guts out and this time we’ve got some surprises up our sleeve with new
tracks that we’ll be road testing exclusively to our Australian fans, so you don’t
want to miss this. We also get to share the stage with our good friends Humality and
The Schoenberg Automaton who both absolutely blow us away.”
